Act 2

“Although you cannot got back and have a brand new start my friend, anyone can start today and have a brand new end.”

I was interviewing someone for an upcoming Learning to Lead podcast, and he said, “I believe God has given me a second chance. Act 2.” He is in his fifties and he is convinced his second act began four years ago when he was given 51 months to live. 51 months later, he is in great shape, but has an entirely different perspective on life. His main focus: Make the most of his second act.

Today, I just want to give you a simple reminder that no matter where you have been or what you have done in the past, your life can look totally different than it does now in just a few days, weeks, months, or years. Your second act can look entirely different from your first act.

You don’t have to be who you were in Act 1. You don’t have to be defined by your greatest regrets. You don’t have to be stuck where you are at. God is a God of second acts. If you’ll choose to go after God, He’ll give you an entirely new life!

Mark Batterson said, “You are only one defining decision away from a totally different life.” Choose to live a life sold out to God. Choose to not let yesterday determine today. Choose to start over.

If you didn’t have a great Act I. Realize that with God, you can have an unbelievable Act 2.

If you’re in your second act. Thank God for it and make the most of it.
