What is the difference between people who do extraordinary things for God and people who seem to get stuck over and over and over again in their walks with God? The answer is their view of God. I have found that people who do extraordinary things for God have an extraordinary view of God.
I’d encourage you to read the story of David and Goliath in I Samuel 17. What gave David the courage to run into battle, while an entire army of trained soldiers sat on the sidelines in fear? It was his view of God! I love when David says to Goliath, ” I’m about to kill you, cut off your head, and serve up your body and the bodies of your Philistine buddies to the crows and coyotes. The whole earth will know that there’s an extraordinary God in Israel.”
David had the courage to fight Goliath because he had an extraordinary view of an extraordinary God. The question is, how big is God in your life? Here is what I know:
The Smaller Your God, The More Frustrating You Will Be in Life – Without God, I can promise you, you’re in for a life of frustration!
The Smaller Your God, The Less Peace You’ll Experience – Day after day Goliath taunted the army of Israel, and they soldiers were filled with fear and anxiety. They had a small view of God.
The Smaller Your God, The Less You’ll Experience in Life – Want to live a boring life? Don’t live for God! Read the stories in the Bible! These men and women had some incredible experiences, you will too if you’ll choose to go after God with everything you’ve got!
The Bigger Your God, The Bolder You’ll Be – Do you need some confidence and courage to pursue what’s in your heart? Easy, go after God! The bigger He is in your life, the more confident you’ll be!
The Bigger Your God, the Less You’ll be intimidated by the Giants in Your Life – When you have the creator of the universe on your side fighting for you, it’s hard to be intimidated by anything!
The Bigger Your God, The Greater Significance You’ll Have – Want to do something great with your life? Get a huge view of who God is! Get to know Him!
