Body Beast Review

I recently finished my first run through of one of Beachbody’s newer programs: Body Beast. It was AWESOME! Beachbody always delivers. I know it’s not for everyone, but it’s definitely for me! I love their workouts because:

  • I can do them at home
  • They don’t require a lot of equipment
  • They do all the thinking for you! You don’t need to develop a workout routine, they have world-class trainers who do it for you!
  • They come with a meal plan! I have learned so much about nutrition through these guides. They are priceless!
  • All you have to do is push play!
  • Their trainers are awesome! They inspire and challenge you!
  • Their programs are cheap and you can use them long after you’ve paid for them!
  • They produce results! Search YouTube for Beachbody results. You’ll see thousands and thousands of testimonies!
  • You become a part of a community that supports you. I have made a lot of friends through using Beachbody’s products and programs! They inspire me and challenge me to stay in the best shape of my life!

My goal isn’t to sell you on Beachbody or Body Beast, my goal is to help you get into the best shape of your life. After all, the best workout is the one you’ll do! If it’s Beachbody, great! If it’s Crossfit, great! If it’s ___, great! As long as you’re working our. For those interested in Beachbody, I have reviewed a few other Beachbody Programs in the past. You can check out the review for those here:

Body Beast

Here is the trailer for Body Beast:

Body Beast is a 12 week program devoted to putting on muscle. You can also use the program to get lean. The program consists of the following workouts:

Build Phase:

  • Chest and Tris
  • Legs
  • Back and Bis
  • Cardio and Beast Abs
  • Shoulders
  • Total Body

Bulk Phase:

  • Chest
  • Legs
  • Arms
  • Back
  • Shoulders

If you enjoy lifting, this program is for you! While I enjoyed the lifting portions of P90X and P90X2, Body Beast takes it to an entirely new level! I’ve always tried to “lift well” but I never really knew what that meant in the gym. I’ve never done Dynamic Set Training like you do in Body Beast. Dynamic set training includes:

  • Single Sets, Super Sets, Giant Sets, Progressive Sets, Drop Sets, Tempo Sets, and more to exhaust your muscles, recruit more muscle fibers, and even kick your testosterone levels into overdrive.

Equipment Needed:

  • E-Z Curl Bar – ( I just used Powerblock Dumbells)
  • Workout Bench with adjustable back (alternative: premium stability ball – this is what I used)
  • Pull-Up Bar
  • Dumbbells – I use Powerblocks (one of the best investments I’ve ever made!)

My Results: I definitely gained muscle and got more definition than I have ever have. Although Body Beast comes with the option of getting additional supplements, I did not try any of them. I currently use the following supplements:

  • Shakeology
  • Whey Protein Shakes
  • P90X Results and Recovery Formula

I did not take before or after pictures as I went through this because I didn’t have a goal with the program other than to finish it. I was also training for a marathon as I did the program, so my focus was on running and not getting huge. I am now going through Body Beast a second time, with a goal of getting as ripped as possible. I am doing Body Best 3-4 days a week and cardio the rest. I am taking pictures weekly and will post my results when I am done.

Body Beast is probably my favorite Beachbody program that I’ve tried so far. The trainer is awesome! The workouts are all 50 minutes or shorter and you get awesome results!
