Book Review: The Richest Man in Babylon

I heard of this book through one of Jim Rohn’s talks on YouTube! I really enjoyed it! The book is by George S. Clason

This was a quick read! I read it in three sittings! It’s a financial advice book, but it is told through a story about the richest man in Babylon. He is hired by the King to teach the citizens of the Babylon how to become wealthy and successful! The principles he teaches are extremely simple and definitely work in today’s world.

I’d recommend this book to anyone looking to get their financial life in order. I know it’s helped me!

The Book Covers 7 Basic Principles for Finances and Success:

1) Start thy purse to fattening

2) Control thy expenditures

3) Make thy gold mutiply

4) Guard thy treasures from loss

5) Make of thy dwelling a profitable investment

6) Insure a future income

7) Increase thy ability to earn

  1. I don’t really know what else I can say, other than I BASE MY ENTIRE FINANCIAL PLANNING ON THIS GENIUS LITTLE BOOK. It’s so dead easy, and so FUN. I actually heard the audio version of this and it is delightful. Couldn’t recommend this book more. Ancient Genius or not (Clason was a brilliant sales man from the States). This book is fun and brilliant. Enjoy!
