6 Reasons Why You Need to Produce and Share Your Content with the World

Have you ever thought about starting a blog, a podcast, writing book, or producing anything that has the potential to make a difference in the lives of others? Or perhaps you’ve started something and you’re afraid to share it with the world. I meet people stuck in this dilemma all the time.

Today, I want to free you of your fears from sharing your content with the world. Here are 6 reasons why you need to share your content with the world:

Your Content will Help You Grow! – One of the main reasons I produce content on a consistent basis is to reinforce what I am learning. John Maxwell says that anytime you learn something, you need to teach it to as many people as possible within 24 hours to help you learn it. Writing and speaking what you have learned will help you grow and develop.

2.) Your Content Can’t Change the World if Nobody Knows About It –  A lot of people are afraid to share their content. I think that is a mistake.

Donald Trump said, “It doesn’t matter if you have the best product in the world if nobody knows about it!”

If you are not sharing your content, how will anyone know it exists? If you have a desire to produce content, it’s probably because you believe your message can make a difference in the world. If that is true, be courageous enough to share your content with the world! They need it!

3.) Your Content will Change People’s Lives – To be honest, I never thought my content will have a big impact on people, however, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten messages, e-mails, or stopped in person by people who have been impacted by the content I produced. Nothing fires me up more than hearing that I played a part in changing someone’s life! It gives me the fuel to keep producing more content. If you’ll produce and share content, you’ll experience the same thing!

4.) Your Content will Impact People You Never Dreamed of Impacting! – Whenever you start a blog, a podcast, write a book, give a speech, etc. it’s easy to think that no one will ever read or listen to it. I’m here to tell you that once you start producing and sharing content, you will no longer have that fear. In fact, you’ll be shocked by who reads your content! I’ve been blown away by some of the people who tell me they read my blog or listen to my podcast. If you share your content, you’re giving the entire planet an opportunity to read or listen to it.

5.) Your Content Will Help You Build Your Platform – In today’s world, anyone can build a platform to influence other. That is both good and bad. It depends on how each person uses their influence.

When you start producing and sharing your content, you will develop a platform to influence people. While it’s ultimately not up to you how many people you will influence, I can tell you that the sooner you start building your platform, the more influential you will become. Most of the world’s most influential leaders have spent the majority of their lives building their platforms. They influence millions today because they started influencing a few twenty years ago.

It will be the same with your platform. In the beginning, you may only influence a few, but if you’ll be consistent, over time, your influence will go from a few, to a hundred, to a few hundred to a thousand and so on.

6.) Your Content will Give You Opportunities You Would Not Have Had  – Through producing and sharing content, I’ve made friends that I would have never made otherwise. I have had unique opportunities open up for me that would have never opened had I not been producing and sharing content.

This is perhaps the most exciting part about sharing your content with the world, you never know who you’ll reach, who you’ll become friends with, what you’ll get to do, or where you’ll get to go as a result.

I’ve provided six reasons to start producing and sharing your content. There are 10,000 more!

What are you waiting for? The world is waiting for you. Go change it.
