Things I Want to Hear God Say to Me at the End of My life

For we must all of us appear before Christ’s judgement-seat in our true characters, in order that each may then receive an award for his actions in this life, in accordance with what he has done, whether it be good or whether it be worthless. ~II Corinthians 5:10

Yesterday I posted about things I do not want to hear God say to me at the end of my life. Today I want to share with you things that I hope to hear God say. The premise for these posts is the reality that one day we are all going to stand before God and give an account for our lives. When you grasp that, you will live your life differently. I want to spend my life serving God. I want to spend my life in such a way that when I meet God face to face I hear:

Well Done – You did what I told you to do. You reached who I told you to reach.

You Were Faithful with Little, I’ll Put You in Charge of Many Things –  You were a good steward of everything I gave you in your life. You were faithful with your gifts, opportunities, and the relationships I put in your life.

You Brought these People With You – You had a part in leading these people to me. You made a difference in their lives. Thank you.

Whatever God Wants to Say to Me! – If God wants to say something to me, I want to hear it.

Come on In!Eternity in Heaven with God. Wow.

C.S. Lewis once said, “Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.”
Whether you believe it or not, one day you’re going to see God face to face. What do you want to hear Him say to you? What don’t you want to hear Him say to you? In light of that, reflect on your life. How is your relationship with God? Are you living life for yourself or are you living for God? What are you doing well? What needs to change?
If you’ve never thought about the reality of the existence of God and the implications of that, if you have been longing to have a relationship God, but don’t know where to start, or if you had a great relationship with God and you’ve veered off track, I would love to talk to you.
