Leaving Thumbprints

“Some people come into our lives & quickly go, some stay for awhile and leave thumbprints on our hearts and we are never the same.”

I remember, one of my last services at Rev, I was talking to a parent, and I said, “I am going to miss these kids. It’s going to be hard.” He said, “Bubba, you are leaving thumbprints on all of these kids hearts. You made an impact in all of their lives. Now you get to go to a new place and leave thumbprints on hundreds of new people. In your life time you’ll do this several times. Get excited, you get to make a difference everywhere you go.”

Think about that. You get a chance to make a difference in people’s lives everywhere you go. This time in your life right now, may the the only opportunity you get to make a difference in the lives of the people in your life at this time.

You won’t always be in high school, in college, in that job, or in that neighborhood. Your time to make a difference in the people’s lives around you right now, is limited. Make it count. Make a difference. Wake up everyday and ask these questions:

Who can I add value to today?

Who can I show the love of God to today? How?

How can I add value at work today?

Who can I go out of my way to encourage today?

I don’t know about you, but at the end of my life, I’d love for the impact I made for God to look a lot like a Google Map, with pins that represent where I made a difference in people’s lives to be dropped everywhere.

Think of what we could do if we all just believed we could make a difference where we are. We could change the world. You’re a world changer. Leave thumbprints in the lives of everyone you meet. Trust me, it’s worth it.
