The Path No One Knew Was There

How much time and energy have you spent trying to figure out your future? From what you’re called to do, to who you’re supposed to marry, to making sure what you’re doing right now is exactly what you’re supposed to be doing to make sure you will end up where God wants you to be in the future, etc.

We have all spent more time and energy than we’d like to admit worrying about these things. I want to encourage you to stop wasting so much time and energy trying to figure it all out. Proverbs 20:24 says, “The LORD directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?”

Too often, we overestimate our role in our future and underestimate God’s role.

Psalm 77:19 says, “Your road led through the sea, your pathway through the mighty waters-a pathway no one knew was there!

How many times have we ended up exactly where we are supposed to but got there on a path we never knew was there? The sooner we get to a place where we surrender our path for God’s path, the better.

I Corinthians 1:25 says that, “This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.” God is smarter than you! When you don’t see a way, He sees a million ways. When you don’t know how, when, or where, He does.

Trust Him with your path! If you love God and are pursuing Him with all of your heart, He’ll get you to where you need to go. Just don’t be surprised if you get there by God leading you down a path you did not know was there.
