The Proverbs 31 Man

When people think about Proverbs 31, most think of the Proverbs 31 woman. I know I think about that a lot because I am married to one! However, one verse in the chapter that I believe most people overlook is Proverbs 31:23 which says,“Her husband is known at the city gates where he sits with the leaders of the land.”

There are two key lessons I take away from this verse:

1.) You have to be a Proverbs 31 man in order to Attract a Proverbs 31 Woman: When you read the description of a Proverbs 31 woman, you realize that women with those characteristics are pretty amazing. I believe that every man on the planet would love to be married to a Proverbs 31 woman. However the question isn’t, do you desire to marry a Proverbs 31 woman? The question is, are you willing to become the man who God needs you to become in order to attract and keep a Proverbs 31 woman? One of the most powerful principles that you can learn in life is that you attract who you are, not what you want. If you want a Proverbs 31 woman, start becoming the man God created you to be!

2.) Godly Men are Called to be well-known Leaders in their City – I truly believe that God wants us to be in positions of influence in our cities so we can influence our regions for Christ. However, in order for this to happen, I believe that we need to have our personal lives in order first. If we are doing our jobs as Godly fathers and husbands, then God can open up doors for us to be Godly leaders in our cities.

In summary, Proverbs 31 women need us to be Proverbs 31 men and in order to be Proverbs 31 men, we need Proverbs 31 women.

Do everything you can today to become Proverbs 31 men and women!
