Stay Energetic Throughout the Day

Are you tired all the time? Are you energetic in the morning and then become exhausted in the afternoon? Do the people at the end of the day get you at your worse because you don’t have any energy to give to them?

I found myself in that position a lot over the past 2 years. It seemed like every afternoon, I would hit a slump and be absolutely exhausted. I’d get to the end of the work day and have no energy to enjoy my evenings with the people I would spend them with. I honestly thought it was because I was too busy.

Then I watched this short video from Brian Tracy and it changed everything! Take a moment and watch it.

After watching this, I recognized that I was only sleeping 6-6.5 hours a night. I couldn’t remember the last time I got 8 hours of sleep. I used to think that sleep was for the weak! While that may have been true in the short-term, it isn’t sustainable long-term.

I decided that I would commit to sleeping at least 7 hours a night, but I would try to get 8 hours. It’s been about a month and I have noticed a huge difference in my performance, energy, and attitude.

Although I am not always excited that I am going to spend 8/24 hours sleeping. I do get excited that getting that amount of rest makes me more effective in the long run. It is sustainable!

If you struggle with staying energetic, staying focused, and always being able to give your best. I challenge you to start sleeping 8 hours a night and see what happens. I promise you, you’ll become more effective and energetic!
