Stop Spectating!

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. -Matthew 14:30

The other day I went to the Pittsburgh Marathon to cheer on some friends who were running it! I loved cheering them on and seeing them achieve what once seemed impossible to them! However, while I was there, I hated being a spectator. I wanted to be out there running!

I think so many times we hear about or see what people are doing with their lives and think, “Man, it’d be awesome to do what their doing with their lives!” My question to you is, why aren’t you?

When the disciples saw Jesus walking on water, 11 of them just stood there and spectated, while Peter took a leap of faith and actually walked on water. Peter will have that memory forever! The other disciples will only get to talk about what Peter did!

You Can Either Talk about People who are Doing What You’d Love to Do, Or You Could BE those People

Run a marathon, try out for the worship team, join a sports team, book your dream vacation, write a book, start a church, make a movie, go to college . . . Whatever you want to do, just go for it.

Be the person you want to be, do the things you’ve longed to do, Stop Spectating and Start Living the Dream!
