“If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done.” ~Ecclesiastes 11:4
I recently got a divine kick in the rear from a friend! I was talking to him about something I needed to do and I kept saying, “I’m just praying and waiting for the right opportunity to do this…”
He said, “I don’t think you need to wait for the right opportunity, I think there is an opportunity right in front of you and you need to just do it.” He went on to say, “Too many people are waiting for the opportunity to do something great when there is opportunity all around them. It’s time for us all to stop waiting for opportunity and start seizing the opportunities all around us.”
Minutes after that conversation, I went out and did what I was “waiting for the perfect time to do”. I didn’t need more time or a better opportunity, I just needed a healthy dose of reality to push me into action.
I want this blog post to be your kick in the rear. What have you been waiting for perfect conditions to start doing?
Whatever it is, stop waiting until your experienced enough, until you have all the facts, or until you have someone’s approval. If you have something in your heart that you want to do, DO IT! Go after it. You’re not getting any younger. Conditions will never be perfect. Opportunities are all around you.
Seize them.
