Stop Waiting for Permission

“God has sent out extremely cool visions to people all over the planet only to have those visions snuffed out by fear.” -Bill Hybels

I’ve learned that most people want to do something significant with their lives. Most people have a vision in their hearts of something they should do right now that has the potential to make a difference. Maybe you have a vision in your heart to:

  • Go back to school to learn skills that would take you to another level
  • Learn a new skill that you’ve always wanted to learn
  • Plant a church
  • Start a non-profit
  • Leave the business world for the non-profit or church world
  • Start a blog or a podcast
  • Become a missionary
  • Write a book
  • Volunteer at a local church or non-profit
  • Mentor someone
  • Run for an elected office
  • Make a difference in one person’s life everyday

I don’t know what is in your heart, but I do know there is something there! You have a vision to make a difference. My encouragement to you is stop waiting for permission. Stop waiting for all the stars to align. Stop waiting until you have enough experience.

If God’s put something in your heart and you feel like the only thing that is holding you back is fear, then just go for it! Step out! God wants to accomplish something great in and through YOU! If He’s put something in your heart, that is all the permission you need! Stop waiting for permission from people and just go do it!

Vision is a gift God gives us to change the world. The world needs you to act! Now!

What vision do you feel has been in your heart for years but you’ve been afraid to act on it? What has held you back? What are you going to do about it? Comment below!
