Creation is God’s handiwork, his fingerprint. Designed to evoke awe and provoke fear, his works speak volumes for their creator. Indeed, even the “invisible things” of our God are “clearly seen” in that which he has made… -Romans 1:20
I love traveling. I love going somewhere and being able to take the time to just stand in awe at the splendor of God’s creation.
When I stand at the shore of an ocean I can’t help but grasp how big God is and how small I am. I can’t look at the night sky and not be in awe of the beauty of God’s creation.
However, all too often, I find myself waiting until I’m on a vacation at the beach or at the top of a mountain to really appreciate everything that God has created, or to take the time to just be still and just know that He is God.
I took a walk through a neighborhood park the other day and just spent time getting quiet with God and really admiring His creation. Too be honest, I can’t put into words how awesome that time with God was.
It made me recognize life is short, and we only get so many sun rises to watch, so many sunsets, so many springs, summers, falls, and winters. But all too often, we miss out on the splendor of it all, because we never take the time to enjoy it.
When was the last time you took a walk with God? When was the last time you enjoyed a sunrise? A sunset? A winter snowfall? A spring morning?
People always want to see miracles, and If we’ll just take the time to look, we’ll start seeing miracles all around us in the splendor of God’s creation.
