What if You Had All the Time and Money You Needed?

“When you can do whatever you want to do, what you choose to do reveals your heart.”-Keith Moore

I’ve been challenged by that statement lately. I don’t know about you, but I often find myself saying, “If I had more time, If I had more money, if I had more_______, then I’d be able to do everything God wants me to do. Then I’d be able to focus on my dream. Then I’d be able to do ______.”  Have you been there?

When I heard Keith Moore say, “When you can do whatever you want to do, what you choose to do reveals your heart” I started thinking about what I would do if I had all the time I think I need.  I thought about what I’d do if I had all the money that I think I need right now. As I thought about it, I had to ask myself the question, “What do I do with the extra money I have come in now? What do I do when I have day where I don’t “have” to do anything?”

In Luke 16:10, Jesus said, “”If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.”

If I won’t do what God wants me to do with my extra money now, I won’t do it when I have millions.

If I don’t use my free time to do what God wants me to do now, I wouldn’t use the time I’d have free in the future to do what God wants me to do.

If I don’t use my free time to focus on family, my dream, my business now, I wouldn’t do it with more time and money.

A lot of us would love to be financially free. A lot of us would love to quit our day job to focus on our dream full-time. The question is what are you doing with your extra money and extra time now? What do you do with it now is exactly what you’d do with more of it.

What you do with your free time and free money does reveal your heart. Keith Moore also said, ” You know who God uses? People who are available!” I would add onto that, you know who God will bless financially and whose time God will free up? Those who use it wisely. Those who will use the money and time to do what God tells them to do.

Evaluate how you use your free time and extra money. What do they say about your heart? Are you in a position for God to free you up financially and to give you more time? If not, it’s time to get your heart right!
